HealthLIT was established to expand The Ripple Effect Wellness Organization’s (TREWO) reach of health education by meeting younger audiences on popular digital platforms. HealthLIT combines evidence-based health education with innovative storytelling to make important health information engaging, accessible, and relevant.

As technology continues to reshape the way people learn and apply information, we recognize the importance of communicating trusted health knowledge in accessible formats. By combining the expertise of healthcare professionals with the talents of creative volunteers, HealthLIT amplifies TREWO’s longstanding commitment to community outreach and education, communicating topical and relevant health literacy information to youth and young adult audiences.

HealthLIT’s short form video content disseminates information on health topics that empower individuals and communities to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. HealthLIT also features health professionals from the Webinar Outreach Wing’s (WOW) extended webinar series, in addition to speakers that present a lens of particular interest to younger adults, on a range of cutting edge health and wellness topics.

Our goal is not only to educate, but also to inspire meaningful conversations about health, encourage preventative care, and cultivate healthier communities through informed choices. Behind every piece of content is a dedicated team of volunteers who contribute their diverse talents in medicine, research, communications, design, editing, and digital media, to ensure that accurate, evidence-based health information remains accessible to younger generations in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
