TREWO provides information on health and wellness in general, based on the best science available today. We welcome your inquiries and comments, but please contact your doctor with any questions you may have about your personal health.
TREWO does not receive any financial support from the federal or provincial governments. Our core funding comes from individual donations and from donations received through our corporate partnerships.
Sponsorship is when a company provides funding and receives a benefit in return, such as public profile for its corporate citizenship (i.e. as sponsor of a major foundation event). In this case, an income tax receipt is not issued. Gift in Kind is when a company donates either property or services and does not receive a benefit from the donation. In this case, an income tax receipt would be issued.
You can donate in many ways: through your participation in fundraising events, in memory of someone, through planned giving, and the many other means of contributing which help us fight the disability and death caused by disease. Contact the TREWO website for more information.
TREWO is a volunteer-driven organization. Volunteers help us fulfill our mission by participating at every level of our activities. Volunteers guide the long term planning and direction of the organization through their membership on our board of directors. They help raise funds by participating in door-to-door campaigns and other events.
When you make your online donation to TREWO, an electronic tax receipt will be delivered instantly to your email. The electronic receipt is in an unalterable PDF format and is your official receipt for income tax purposes. Simply print out the receipt and include a copy with your income tax return. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print your receipt.
If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, it can be downloaded free of charge at: http://www.adobe.com
